Negative Effects of Obesity

fat bastardObesity, in medical terms, is considered as a body disorder due to the accumulation of excessive fats in the body. The aftermaths of obesity are more dangerous than the side effects of smoking and excessive drinking. Researchers have blamed obesity as the primary cause of over 30 medical disorders in our body. Some of these disorders are blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, asthma, cardiovascular disorders etc. In many people, an overweight body is the primary cause of their psychological turbulences. It is noticed that overweight people often nurture complexes like depression, inferiority complex, low self-esteem. Of all these, low esteem has some of the most serious ramifications. It is a complex and deep-routed problem which can also force a person to end his life.

It is also observed that fat people face a lot of social discrimination. They are major victims of teasing and discrimination. If such discrimination is subjected to a child right at his tender age, then he starts alienating himself from his peers and colleagues. This leaves a serious impact on his psyche forever. Obesity is the main cause of early exhaustion. This leads to disinterest and absenteeism from responsibilities and work. It also restricts the degree of mobility of the person. This increases the risk of nurturing life threatening diseases like hypertension, blood sugar, sleeping disorder, anxiety, high cholesterol and other heart problems.

Excessive weight is the main trigger for joint aches and muscle pains. It also nears you to the dangers of inflicting a deadly disorder called arteriosclerosis.
