How I Started Taking Care of My Colon

I used to not give my colon the attention it deserved. All I knew what that this organ helped process the food I ate and moved waste out of my body. The only relation I could find between the food I ate and my body what that eating too much was going to make me fat. I did not consider that eating healthy also had an effect on my colon.

But when I was hospitalized for a condition in my colon, my views changed. I realized that everything I eat can affect this part of my body. I also realized that the condition of my colon greatly affects the different organs of my body and my general outlook. After a medical procedure that involved the doctor checking the condition of colon, I resolved to start taking care of my digestive tract. I said to myself that I will not neglect my colon because apparently, that is where death starts.

The first things I did was to add more fiber to my diet. I switched from standard bread to whole grain wheat bread. I also started eating more fruits and vegetables. Another thing I did was take probiotic supplements. These are good bacteria that helped balance the gut flora in my body. Today, I feel stronger and I can really feel that my colon is as pink as it can be because it is healthy.
