With the rising cancer rates, taking care of your colon is a must. One way that you can take care of your colon is to keep it clean. If you are not keen about using certain colon cleansing items, you can keep your colon in top shape through the food you eat. The following are a few foods or drinks that can help you keep your colon clean.

1)FIBER – It has been said before and it will be said over and over again: Fiber will sweep waste from your colon. Stock up on fruits and vegetables. They are rich in fiber and will free you from indigestion, constipation, bloating, gas, and other disorders of the digestive tract. Aside from keeping your colon clean, fruits and vegetables will also give you antioxidants. By eating a diet rich in fiber, you do not only help your colon but your whole body.
2)WATER AND OTHER LIQUIDS – If you drink plenty of water, waste in your colon will be kept moist. This means that the waste will be easier to remove. Hard and dry stools are a result of dehydration. If you do not drink plenty of water, you will surely be constipated. You can also drink fruit juices as they contain fiber as well. Tea is also good for keeping the waste in your colon moving properly.
