Of course, one must be mindful of disturbing physical changes or symptoms right away so that a doctor’s visit can be immediately set. Symptoms of colon cancer may include change in bowel habits, tumor, anemia, lack of appetite leading to weight loss, and jaundice. Early detection lead to higher chances of recovering from colon cancer. As soon as you feel that your bowel habits are changing, it is important to set an appointment with your physician. If your doctor suggests having a colonoscopy, you should agree. This procedure will help your doctor see inside your large intestine. Through colonoscopy, a cancer growth may be removed. Your doctor will also be able to check the stage of the disease.

It is true that having colon caner or any type of cancer for that matter is terrible. However, our will to live can defeat all odds. Medical miracles can happen. But we also have a responsibility to live a healthy life so that we can keep serious diseases such as colon cancer at bay.
